FAQ
Good questions.
Straight answers.
A few things to know before a repair, purchase, or IT project.
Where does JS IT Solutions provide service?
JS IT Solutions serves San Antonio, Texas, and surrounding areas. Contact Joseph with your location and the work you need to confirm service arrangements.
How do I arrange a repair or consultation?
Call (210) 446-6421 or email joseph@jsitsolutions.xyz. Include your device model or project details. Contact Joseph before traveling to arrange a handoff or visit.
Is a consultation the same as a free diagnosis?
An initial conversation can help establish what you need. Hands-on diagnosis and repair may have a fee. Confirm the diagnostic cost and repair scope with Joseph before service.
Can you tell me if a repair is worth it?
Yes. Diagnosis helps compare the repair scope with the age, condition, and replacement cost of your device. Contact Joseph to confirm the diagnostic fee before bringing it in.
How much does a screen replacement cost?
The price depends on your exact phone model, part availability, part type, and other damage. Send the model for a quote; there is no one-size-fits-all screen price.
Can you help a small business without an IT department?
Yes. Start with a specific issue or discuss a broader support plan for your team, devices, and network.
Can I ask for advice before committing to a project?
Yes. Contact Joseph for an initial conversation about your goals. Any paid assessment or project work can be scoped separately.
Do you buy broken electronics?
Some faulty devices may be suitable for repair or parts. Send the model and known issues; an offer or acceptance is not guaranteed.
Can you help with smart home devices?
Yes. Share the brands and models you have, along with what you want them to do. Compatibility is reviewed before recommending a setup.
Can you help me choose cameras?
Yes. Coverage, lighting, mounting options, cabling, and recording requirements all affect the equipment choice.
Will a new router fix my slow internet?
Not always. The internet connection, wireless interference, placement, cabling, and device limitations can all matter. Diagnosis helps identify which change will help.
Is a NAS the same as a backup?
No. A NAS provides storage. Protecting important files also requires separate copies and a recovery plan; disk redundancy alone does not cover accidental deletion or every failure.
What should I do before handing over a device?
Back up important files where possible. Share relevant symptoms and known damage. Do not send passwords, PINs, or sensitive documents through the inquiry form or email.
Where can I see what is for sale?
Visit the Current Stock page. If no listings are published, contact Joseph about available electronics. Pricing and availability should be confirmed before purchase.
